Gambrel style roofs are very unique. They have two slopes on each side. This is the same type of roof you see on barns, and they come in many different shapes and sizes. It’s similar to a mansard roof. A mansard roof is on all 4 sides and a gambrel roof is on 2 sides. For this project, we replaced all the roofing with durable GAF shingles. The homeowner chose GAF Timberline HD in Pewter Gray, which pairs wonderfully with James Hardie Aged Pewter. We replaced all the old siding with James Hardie fiber cement siding using board & batten style on the front and Plank Lap siding on the remainder of the home. Take a look at these groovy before & after photos! Wow!
Finishing touches were also added to the home. We installed HB&G PermaCast columns, Arctic White Hardie Trim, Alside Charter Oak Soffit, fascia, porch ceiling gutters, and Raindrop gutter guards. The new roof also included the outstanding GAF Golden Pledge Warranty. This gambrel style roof really got it’s groove back and it will last beautifully for a long time.
There’s nothing like a flower to brighten up the curb appeal! One of our contractors snapped this lovely photo 🙂
