This La Grange home was completely transformed after exterior renovation. All new siding, windows, roofing, and finishing details were installed by Opal Enterprises master craftsmen in La Grange Illinois.
Siding Replacement
First we remove all the old siding. In this case lead was found during our lead test, so extra precautions were taken to carefully dispose of the old material. Opal is an EPA Lead Safe Certified Remodeler. Existing cedar siding and trim was removed down to the substrate. It was then inspected for damage and stability, any necessary areas were repaired before the wrap.
Next, HardieWrap weather barrier and James Hardie fiber cement siding was installed.
The siding used was James Hardie Cerdarmill Plank in the Timber Bark color with Arctic White Trim.
Roofing
The old roofing shingles were removed and recycled, then new GAF Timberline HD Weathered Wood shingles were installed with the new roofing system. We also replaced the gutters, soffit, fascia, and insulation.
Window Replacement
Several windows were replaced with premium fiberglass windows by Beechworth complete with new millwork and trim.
The home is now completely rejuvenated and is designed to last a very long time with improved value and beauty.
